Labyrinth Seal

A type of mechanical seal that operates by hindering the flow of process fluids and lubricants out of rotary equipment. In order to leak out of the equipment the lubricant should go through a labyrinth path and pass over the vortices that act as traps for leaking fluid. This type of seal usually consists of numerous grooves positioned around the shaft, maintaining a close clearance to provide dynamic sealing action without any friction or contact to the shaft.

Oil Slinger

Incorporating specially designed forms with great dimensional accuracy, this part seals the rotating shaft over an intended narrow clearance.
